The II Tourism Forum, subtitled "Strategies for the development of the interior as a tourist destination," took place in the halls of the Piramidal Hotel in Santiago, on April 16, 2010, from 8:00 am.
After the opening ceremony with words of Vasco Torres de León, President of the Chamber of Tourism of Veraguas, Diana Pinto, ATP Regional Administrator, and Ernesto Martínez, Governor of the Province of Veraguas, topics and speakers presented in the forum were:
"Building a public policy to promote tourism inside the country" by Victor Chalet, of the World Tourism Organization, Mexico.
"Creating a small tourist business", by José Thomas, President of the Association of Small Hotels of Panama (HOPPAN).
"Launching the website of Veraguas" by Angel Gonzalez, Manager of Visual Adventures.
"Considerations on the Tourism Master Plan 2009-2020 ", by Jaime Cornejo, Director of the Tourism Master Plan of Panama.
"Needs and developments of the interior tourism destinations" by Wee Ming Fung, President of the Chamber of Tourism of Chiriqui (CAMTURCHI).
"Agro-tourism program in Panama," by Bruno Mojica, Director of MIDA Agro-tourism Program.
"Conclusions: report and decisions of the Forum" by Alberto Jaén Quirós, President of the National Tourism Network.
The event was closed with words of Jenny Mizrachi, National Director of Regional Agencies for the Panama Tourism Authority (ATP).
