SANTA CATALINA


Santa Catalina is a coastal town, belonging to the province of Veraguas, located in the Gulf of Montijo, on the Pacific coast. It is an hour and a half by road from Santiago, and six hours of Panama City.

Santa Catalina is known mainly by the great waves that gives its seato the surfers who are constantly arriving to enjoy the sport. National and international competitions are held throughout the year and his name is already circulating in the world of the international surf.

But surfing is not everything. It is also the nearest place, along with Bahía Honda, to access to the spectacular reefs and the marine and terrestrial life of the Coiba National Park and its surroundings.

In addition, for those who want to spend a quiet holiday, beach walks, is an idyllic place, with affordable prices of meals and accommodation, the latter with a good number of possibilities.

GETTING THERE:
from Santiago take the road to Sona and when reach the junction to Santa Catalina (half an hour later) turn left. The road, of asphalt, is in good condition in general.
